Cotswolds Day trip from London, make the Cotswolds Journey

If you are visiting the UK then you will probably have all your sightseeing arranged for London, but why not build in a day trip from London to the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds is easily accessible from London by train, if your staying in central London then you just need to catch the tube to London Paddington, and from there you can start your Cotswolds adventure.

We would always advise trying to book your train tickets as far in advance as possible. The trainline that will bring you to Moreton in Marsh is Great Western Railways. Your Cotswolds journey will take just over 1 hour 30 minutes. Moreton in Marsh is the main railway station, consider it as your gateway to the Cotswolds. The great news is that Cotswolds Guided Tours will collect you in line with the train times. Monday to Saturday our north Cotswolds Tour start at 10am, and on Sunday we start a little later at 10.30am. The train journey is direct, so once you have your seats, you can sit back and watch the countryside roll by, you don’t need to worry about changing trains, it is an easy & simple route. When our guests book our Cotswolds tours, then we send through all the links for booking your train tickets, where we will meet you at the railway station in Moreton in Marsh. Essentially, we want to make your Cotswolds day trip run as smoothly as possible.

We have two north Cotswolds tours to choose from, our Famous Cotswolds Tour, which visits the iconic villages of Upper Slaughter, Lower Slaughter & Bourton on the Water. We stop over lunch in the market town of Stow on the Wold, then the afternoon is spent touring our Cotswolds secret village & the beautiful thatched village of Great Tew. Or you could choose to take our second north Cotswolds Tour, called our Cotswolds Highlights Tour, this tour visits the market towns of Broadway & Chipping Campden, you’ll also visit the smallest & highest castle in the Cotswolds, Broadway Tower, along with a selection of remote unspoilt villages including Snowshill, Stanway & Stanton.

The Cotswolds is ideal as a day trip from London, you could even consider staying the night & taking both of our Cotswolds tours, we want to ensure your Cotswolds journey will be one you will remember forever.
